The Albert Kahn museum is hosting an important photographic collection, with 4,000 stereographic plates and 72,000 autochromes dated beginning of the 20th. century, usually leading to temporary thematic exhibitions.
While I was there, autochromes of the Bretagne region. I found this one quite beautiful.
After (or before) visiting the museum, the garden - only accessible from the inside, so visit is not free - it´s worth taking a breath of fresh air in the gardens. Amazing how most if not all traffic noise is blocked out from here, after all Boulogne Billancourt is a touching suburb of Paris!
Part of the central and main pool in the Japanese Garden part
Of course, lots of waterlilies here.
A beautiful white Iris
Bridge typical for Japanese Gardens. There´s two of them here.
This Lily seems doing well only near water
A beautiful garden like that is bound to be a favorite destination for wedding parties
A view over the other bridge, at the far end.
Lots of different Japanese Maples are expected
Exit gate to the French Garden part
I was laying on my belly to take this shot. Just before someone yelled that it´s not allowed to enter the lawns!
